Jensen Capacitors
Jensen has been a manufacturer of oil impregnated capacitors for decades, originally for radio set use before World War II and for high voltage industrial applications, as well. Although the market for oil impregnated capacitors with paper dielectric in audio applications waned after the 1950s, it was reinvigorated in the1980s when audiophiles realized that there were certain advantageous sonic properties of this type of capacitor that were unobtainable elsewhere. Jensen resumed production in the 1980s at the forefront of this “new wave” and has continued to offer the highest quality oil impregnated paper/metal foil capacitors on the market. Their line-up includes a wide range of values and voltages with aluminum, copper, and silver foil “plates”. The highest grade capacitors, with copper and silver “plates”, are manufactured with pure silver leads, as well.
Jensen has also mastered the production of audio grade electrolytic power supply capacitors, both for low voltage solid state applications and higher voltage vacuum tube applications (see https://audio.jensencapacitors.com/public/dokumenter/electrolytic_capacitors_for_audio_purposes.pdf ). They make two section high voltage capacitors and special 4-pole capacitors (see https://audio.jensencapacitors.com/public/dokumenter/4pole.pdf).

The Type indicates either silver, copper, or aluminum foil for the foil/paper in oil capacitors. These are not metallized paper capacitors; they use real high purity metal foils!
